If you look carefully, you'll notice a face in the second story window of the ginormous dollhouse Uncle Mike and Auntie Beth brought for Christmas...yep, it's Phoebe, and that is where I keep finding her instead of in bed sleeping...I'm waiting to hear the big THUD! when she falls asleep on the second story and rolls out onto the floor! :)

Christmas Eve

Well, I should have known by looking at these pictures how the rest of the night would play out...but I, like a fool, thought that MAYBE everything would work out according to plan EVEN THOUGH Phoebe had a late nap, had to be woken up for church, and was crying before we even left the house...riiiiiight...church was a bust, since half the time was spent wrestling Phoebe, changing Joey, feeding Joey, having wax drip all over my hand...not the experience I was looking forward to...and then instead of going straight to bed so Mommy and Daddy could put on a Christmas movie and get Christmas things ready, Phoebe decided to stay up until 10:00...sigh...oh well, it was a fun night anyways...a LATE night, but a fun one...

Cookie Party, Cookie Baker

Yay! I KNEW this Melissa & Doug Cookie Set was going to be the perfect gift to go with Phoebe's cookie party birthday!! She got this out this morning and played with it ALL DAY LONG! Yay!! This is so fun- I can't WAIT till Christmas!!

Cookie Decorating Party

We had a cookie decorating party for Phoebe's second birthday party, and it was a great success! As always, the Derringer men were the ones most serious, most involved, and of course most competitive when it came to the party activity, but the kids had fun too! :) Phoebe did surprisingly well decorating her cookie- until she dropped the frosting on her gingerbread man's head and smooshed him. She was very serious about putting sprinkles on the cookie- I see a great future of the two of us working on cookies together over the holidays...yay!!
