Crawling Forward!!
Phoebe crawled forward for me for the first time today! Her teacher said that she had crawled forward at school two days ago, but today was the first day that I saw it! Good job, big girl! So what if you look like a little Frankenstein- you did it! Mommy's proud!! :)
Still Working on Puffs
Still working on the whole solid food thing...the dogs are getting fat, lurking around under the high chair, waiting for the puffs to drop...

Phoebe's First Camping Trip

Grandpa and Grandma Derringer "tricked" Mommy into taking Phoebe on her first camping trip to Summit Lake the weekend before school started. Phoebe ended up having a blast spending the weekend outside- she loved laying in her play pen, looking up at all the trees, and staring at the water, flying around with Uncle Nick, and chewing on her toys! We had a great time, up until Saturday night- when it started to downpour at about 10:30! We had to turn in early, snuggle up with Phoebe, and call it a night. It was cold and clammy in the morning, so we ended up heading home early Sunday- but overall, it was fun...and I suppose we can do it again! :)

Pouting Over Puffs

Here's Phoebe's first experience with solid food: we let her try Puffs, which are sort of like a melt-in-your-mouth light cereal...puff. She did not know what to make of them- she squeezed it, squished it, licked it, tried to hide it, got it stuck on her hand, and pouted because she couldn't figure it out (see photo one). She never did manage to eat it- she just licked and squished it beyond recognition. Maybe next time...

FIRST DAY OF DAYCARE!! AGGGHHH!!!

Well, we officially started daycare today at the Goddard School! Here we are at home, getting ready- Phoebe was all about her newly-appliqued backpack (even though it's bigger than her!) Mommy was just fighting back the tears, and Daddy was trying to calm Mommy down...boo-hoo-hoo! Look at this little girl- thinking she's all grown up, got a bookbag, hmph! :( And in the third picture down, doesn't she look like she's saying, "I'm fine Mommy- I can handle it!" Boo-hoo-hoo!!
