First Trip to the Beach

Here we are, Phoebe's first trip to the beach! These were taken in late August, at Oval Beach in Michigan. This is the trip with the infamous sand-in-the-mouth experience. :)

La Porte Weekend

Here are some photos from Mommy & Phoebe's trip to La Porte this weeekend. Daddy got left behind to do school work, get fitted for a tux, and to work on his "honey-do list." :) The first photo is Phoebe with her new elephant from Grammy- it's almost as big as her! Grampa had fun giving Phoebe further tips on crawling- since his previous lessons have finally paid off! Next is a shot of Phoebe and Great-grandma Boklund- this was taken at Elin's 13th birthday party on Saturday night. It was great to see everybody, and share our great news that Phoebe's going to be a big sister next April! The next photo shows Phoebe after she had been passed around from relative to relative like a hot potato- she didn't even stir when I bundled her up and ran her throught the rain and into the house! Going to Cracker Barrell for breakfast, shopping for hours at Babies R Us, attending a birthday party, crawling, and looking cute can apparently take a lot out of you when you're nine months old! (I was pretty tired after all that too!) Then we have the Pheebs playing with her clicky pig that Great Aunt Jacqie gave her some time ago- it's just now becoming interesting to her! As you can tell but the serious face, it's verrrry interesting...what a great weekend!

Sick Baby

Phoebe's sick for the first time- poor baby! She's had a fever since last Wednesday, when she was sent home from school. I took her in to see the doctor on Thursday- which was funny, because she didn't act sick AT ALL while we were there, and was in fact quite the ham until the big earwax-grabber came out- things went downhill from there pretty quickly. They said it was just a virus, and should be on its way out by the end of the weekend. She has had a majorly runny nose, fever, poopy-problems, throwing up- it's not been pretty! And she's been sad, whiney, zombie-like, and sleepy to boot! I think I have bed sores from rocking her in her chair almost all weekend! (Not that I mind- I've enjoyed the cuddle time- not so much the crying...) As you can see in this photo from yesterday, she's not her perky little self. I'm hoping for a speedy recovery by tomorrow, or I'm gonna go give those doctors what for...
