Hello again, everyone! It has been a while since I've updated the blog, I know- how could I forget with all the grandparents complaining about Phoebe withdrawl? :) Well here's the deal- for the longest tme, I was waiting for something to take a picture of...but since Christmas break, Phoebe has had a cold, pink eye, the flu, (actually, we ALL had the flu), teething, and has been adjusting to the new schedule at the Primrose school, and to tell you the truth, none of that has been very pretty! Between snot and eye crusties and crying and falling asleep at 5:00, it's been hard to get a picture of her looking healthy and lucid at the same time, let alone doing anything cute!! Now things are getting back on track again, though, (knock on wood!) so here's the update: besides being sickly and cranky, not much is new. Phoebe is still not walking OR talking- what a big BABY, huh? Now, in her defense, she has started walking on her knees like E.T., which you would think would be much harder than actually walking upright, but hey- whatever. She also will point to "Momma" and "Dada" and "milk" and "dogs" when we say those things to her- repeatedly and in her face in an instructional type manner, but she has not said the words herself. Just lots of "mamamamamamama", "dadadadadada", "numnumnumnum" for food, "da" for dog, and straight yelling and pointing for anyhting else she wants. The only thing she has really been repeating is "uh-oh," and that would usually be when she kicks her shoe off in the grocery store for the hundredth time in ten minutes, and after looking you dead in the eye, hearing, "Don't you kick that shoe off again!" and then deliberately kicking the shoe off anyways. She's quite the little stinker! So anyways, these pictures, from bottom to top: during the pink eye week, Phoebe passed out face-down in her play pen, covering her eyes. (So you can see what I mean- that was the BEST picture I had from all the illnesses.) Then we have her in the tub- the new coolest place to be. Next is her wrinkly toes from being in the tub too long- which is never long enough, of course. Then we have her spending the day in her jammies on our snow day- when we got a good 12 inches of snow dumped on us. We had a great day at home together, rearranging her room, working on Baby Boy's room, playing, reading books, trying to learn to walk and talk, and taking naps. Last is a shot of how she spent the last part of cousin Mindy's baby shower in Michigan on Saturday- passed out. Hopefully February will be more exciting, more healthy, and more fun!
