Phoebe came across this silly food project in a Halloween magazine, and said it looked like Daddy... :) So we modified the idea, and made the faces for dinner! Let me tell you, the kids ate every last bit of this dinner!
We had a backyard picnic this afternoon, complete with lunch boxes, mat, and tent! It was VERY exciting, and Phoebe was more than happy to take over operations and set up the places, unpack the lunch, hand out the food, and make sure Joey ate a little of everything! :)
Phoebe talked Mamaw into getting her Dippin' Dots, and she ate every last dot! Then she got all riled up...shockingly...and was climbing all over the place! Must be time to go home! :)
Looking at the kudu, feeding the giraffes, running back and forth on the bumpy bridge: Phoebe was all about showing off all her favorite parts of the zoo!
We went to the zoo today with Mamaw, Aunt Debbie, Great-grandma Hammond, Uncle Nick, Aunt Amber, and MaryJane! Phoebe was living it up- she had someone constantly available to hold her hand, pick her up, buy her Dippin' Dots- it was a good day for Phoebe!
We spent the last day at the splash park with Uncle Nick, Aunt Amber, MaryJane, and Grandma & Grandpa Derringer! The water was reeeeally cold, so Phoebe spent most of her time hanging out on the jungle gyms!
Phoebe's starting to interact with her toys quite a bit more- Froggy is one of her favorites right now. He rattles, he's friendly-looking, he's good to chew on, he masquerades as a turtle- what more could you ask for in a cuddly companion?
